Samy Miklaszewski
Musical theatre actor · Singer · Juggler · Circus performer
Lead performer, Saltimbanco Italiano · Dubai, UAE
Profile
I’m a multidisciplinary musical-theatre performer with a circus background — character, voice, movement and comedy in one stage practice.
I combine acting, live singing and movement with confident stage presence. Lead roles include Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.
Strong comic timing, improvisation and physical storytelling — from the Mad Hatter to Augustus Gloop, built for pantomime and family entertainment.
Versatile vocalist trained across classical, traditional and contemporary musical-theatre styles. Combines strong breath support, clear phrasing and vocal interpretation with acting through song, delivering expressive solo, ensemble and character-led performances for live stage productions.
A specialist diabolo performer with clubs, balls, rings, knives and stilts — I bring an original circus vocabulary into every theatrical role.
Lead performer and creative director at Saltimbanco Italiano, experienced in rehearsals, ensemble work and collaborating with directors, choreographers, technicians and international casts — directing shows and coordinating staff and logistics.
I lead workshops in global art expression, juggling and theatre for children across Dubai and Abu Dhabi — including my own sessions at the Global Art Juggling Academy, building focus and confidence in the next generation.
Discipline
I played Gaston in Beauty and the Beast and the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz — both SPAA productions, both lead roles.
I studied classical voice with Iza Kowalewska of Poland — breath support, phrasing and range — and took musical vocal coaching with Rami Farha. In November 2025 I sang the German and UAE national anthems at the German Unity Day reception in Dubai.

Discipline
I build characters for the stage and for the street — the Mad Hatter, Augustus, Peter Pan — roles that work in a mall atrium as readily as in a theatre.
Pantomime is where a lot of that character work lives day to day — playing opposite a full storybook cast in family productions like The Garden Patch at Town Centre Jumeirah, holding a scene on nothing but voice, timing and a costume.
I graduated with Distinction in the Pearson BTEC International Level 2 in Performing Arts at Sharjah Performing Arts Academy in 2024. My physical theatre, clowning and nouvelle comédie training came from Saltimbanco Italiano.

Discipline
I am available for commercial modelling, fashion and lifestyle campaigns, lookbooks, editorial portraits, e-commerce photography and branded content.
My background in musical theatre and live performance gives me strong camera awareness, expressive range and the ability to understand and follow creative direction. I am equally comfortable working in a professional studio or on location, adapting naturally between polished fashion imagery, relaxed lifestyle photography and character-led commercial campaigns.
Discipline
Sixteen years of juggling — and more. I picked up my first diabolo in 2010, at three years old, then clubs, balls, rings and knives. Since 2012 I have been performing professionally across festivals, malls and parades in the UAE and the GCC.
I work solo club routines, full parade productions, roaming acts and comedy duos, and I have walked on stilts at events and on stage since 2010. I have been at Mercato Mall since 2013 and I am still there — alongside Jeddah, the Sharjah District Festival, Al Seff street festival and Dubai Summer Surprises with Modhesh.

Teaching
I teach juggling as psychomotricity — coordination, focus and confidence built through play rather than performance.
My sessions guide children out of their comfort zone and into concentration and collaboration. I trained in pedagogy for teaching global art, and I run programmes for nurseries, kindergartens and primary schools across Dubai and Abu Dhabi. I work under Saltimbanco Italiano, which brings an established company, its crew and thirty years of school and festival experience behind every session.
About
I was born in Dubai to an Italian family of performers, and I grew up inside the company I now help run — sitting on the floor at rehearsals long before I was old enough to be in the show.
I trained with Saltimbanco Italiano in nouvelle comédie, clowning and juggling, specialising in diabolo. I have performed professionally since 2012 across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Europe, and since 2019 I have also worked from the other side — coordinating events, directing artistically and organising the crew. Today I direct the company as lead performer and creative director.
I graduated with a BTEC in Performing Arts with Distinction* from SPAA — Sharjah Performing Arts Academy, UAE — where my courses focused on musical theatre, and I am currently enrolled in the BA in Musical Theatre at the university of the arts in Sharjah, UAE. I also hold certificates from summer courses at the West End Musical Theatre Academy in London, and I have completed professional dance courses with Pineapple Dance Studios in London and Dubai.

Part of
Saltimbanco Italiano is my family’s company — one of the most recognised circus and theatre production houses in the UAE, with over 35 years of history and success. I grew up inside it, and I now lead it as creative director and lead performer. Booking me means booking that legacy: full productions, crew, and decades of festival, mall and school work across the UAE.
